Wayanad Environment Wayanad is situated in the northeastern part of Kerala between 700 to 2100 meters mean sea level and at the southern end of the Deccan plateau. It is set aloft on the majestic Western Ghats. The most part of this district is encircled by forests. The mean average rainfall in this district is 2322 mm.
